Getting started
The game is all about matching gems in straight lines of 3 or more. Match some stone and they will become troops. These troops will then march up the display and hit any monsters that they come into contact with.

That is an important thing to think about though. Should you match a group of stone on a single side of the display, they are not going to wander over to another. Troops always walk directly up from where they are matched.

Match some green gems, as an example, and they will add some mana to any green personality that you have got in your army.

Character colours
Different monsters have different colours. You may use this to figure out what you have to be hitting them with. Check out the wheel at the top left corner of this display to learn which color stones are most powerful against which color characters.

Occasionally you’e not going to be able to move the board around to use the most effective colours, but keep in mind that it is always better to use any color instead of the one that is weakest against the opponent that you’re fighting.

It’s best to have mixed a group of personalities as you can, because that’s going to set you in good stead whatever you come up against. However, you can see what you’re going to be fighting before you set out on a level, so if you’ve got plenty of powerful characters you can tailor your own army.
